Nikki + Nick

Nikki and Nick were married on Nikki’s uncle’s property in Caledonia, Michigan this past August! Despite so many changes to their wedding day due to COVID, they had one of the most memorable wedding days! Their ceremony was intimate and small and took place under a wooden gazebo facing Duncan Lake as the summer sun set over a warm, overcast sky.

Their backyard wedding was eclectic, quaint, and so cozy with mason jars, babies breath, and thrifted vases for wildflower bouquets. They made their own ceremony traditions by toasting with the beer they had on their first date, which was The Power of Love brewed by Shorts, a local Michigan brewery. Their maid of honor and best man read quotes aloud from their favorite books and poems, while their officiant/co-best man shared the story of how the two lovebirds met on Tinder and easily fell in love with each other's "nerdiness" - LOVE!!!

Nikki looked absolutely stunning in a dress for under $100 from Lulus, with pearl hair accessories and her handmade faux floral bouquet! Nick totally rocked his suspenders and a skinny floral tie (seriously loving this look!) and together they looked jaw-droppingly gorgeous!

Small, intimate, backyard ceremonies are magical, authentic, and they give couples so much time for photos, drinks, and spending quality time with family and friends! So many couples nowadays are choosing to do smaller, more elopement-like weddings and I am here to help! With per-hour coverage, your wedding day coverage can be as little as one to five hours. Nikki + Nick's wedding day coverage was three hours which covered everything from capturing all of the little details, their ceremony, candids, family portraits, wedding party photos, and of course, some glam photos of the bride and groom!

Nikki and Nick's wedding day was so emotional and powerful - Filled with tears and belly laughs, these two are ready for a lifetime of joy together :,)
